Transforming Tyres Into Sustainable Materials
Environmental Impact
on the road
Our Responsibility
At Treadlite, environmental responsibility isn’t a side project — it’s the reason we exist.
Every tyre we collect, process and repurpose is one less tyre in landfill and one step closer to a circular economy for Aotearoa.
Our place. Our problem
B Corp Certified
Becoming a Certified B Corporation recognises Treadlite’s commitment to balancing purpose and profit, and to making decisions that are good for people, communities and the planet
This certification aligns directly with our values — Our place, our problem — and holds us accountable to high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and continual improvement.
Tyrewise Stewardship Partner
Treadlite is an approved partner under the Tyrewise Stewardship Scheme, New Zealand’s regulated tyre recycling programme.
Since 1 March 2024, a tyre stewardship fee has been applied at the point of sale and passed through the supply chain. From 1 September 2024, Tyrewise funds the collection of end-of-life tyres from registered retailers, generators and collection sites — removing disposal charges where the fee has been applied.
